The Spanish prime minister, Pedro Sánchez, sent a message of support to the inhabitants of Ceuta, guaranteeing that the government is mobilizing all resources so that the population can recover tranquility. The message was released in video format.

The communication took place this Wednesday, coinciding with the official celebration day of the Spanish enclave in North Africa. Ceuta, a Spanish territory located on the north coast of the African continent, was thus celebrating its own day.

In the message, Sánchez demonstrated solidarity with the residents of Ceuta, reinforcing the Spanish executive's commitment to guaranteeing the safety and well-being of the local population. The prime minister sought to convey confidence at a time that seemed to be one of some instability in the city.

The support from the central government to the autonomous city comes in a context of celebration, but also of concern about the situation experienced by the inhabitants of Ceuta, who face specific challenges arising from their unique geographical location.

Bolsonaro's Son Defends Mendonça After Revelation of Meeting With Vorcaro Before Taking on Master Case and Renews Criticism of Moraes

Presidential candidate Bolsonaro's son defended Justice Minister André Mendonça after the revelation that he met with Daniel Vorcaro, founder of Banco Master, before taking on the rapporteurship of investigations into the financial institution at the Supreme Court. On a campaign stop in Rio Grande do Sul, Bolsonaro's son classified the criticism as a "smoke screen" and attempted to differentiate Mendonça's conduct from what he called the actions of Justice Minister Alexandre de Moraes, stating that the meeting was registered on the official schedule and occurred when Mendonça was not yet the rapporteur of the case, making it therefore something "totally professional." Mendonça admitted to having met with Vorcaro in March 2025, almost a year before taking on the rapporteurship.
