Benfica is analyzing the possibility of signing Esmir Bajraktarevic, a 21-year-old winger from PSV, to replace Dodi Lukebakio in the Eagles' attack. The red and white structure closely followed the Bosnian player's situation and admits to moving forward for his acquisition if the sale of the Belgian forward is confirmed.
The young winger was very close to transferring to Sevilla in this last transfer window, but the operation failed to materialize due to the closure of the market in Spain without the parties reaching a final agreement. The Andalusian club wanted a loan move, but the Dutch side demanded a fixed fee of 8 million euros to release the Bosnian international.
PSV has already protected itself against the potential loss of the player, having signed Sami Ouaissa from NEC to fill any absence in their attacking sector. Bajraktarevic represents the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team and is considered a young talent with growth potential in European football.
