Quaest: Cury's surge makes Lula and Flavio's campaigns expand dispute for independent voters

The presidential campaigns of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) and Flavio Bolsonaro (PL) will expand the dispute for independent voters after the Quaest survey showed Augusto Cury (Avante) rising to 10% of voting intentions. Cury's growth, now alone in third place in the presidential race, occurs in the segment of voters who say they do not take a side in the political polarization between right and left. The first Quaest survey after the start of electoral propaganda on TV and radio, commissioned by the newspaper O GLOBO and Globo, shows Lula in first place in the second round, with 37%, while Bolsonaro appears with 30%. Other candidates appear with lower percentages: Renan Santos (Missão) has 3%, while Ronaldo Caiado (PSD), Romeu Zema (Novo), Pablo Marçal (PRTB) and Samara Martins (UP) have 1% each. The survey indicates that Cury grew eight points compared to the previous survey, from August 14, when he had only 2% of voting intentions.
