The leader of the Chega party, André Ventura, announced this afternoon that the party filed a motion of censure against the government. The decision was publicly communicated by Ventura himself, who used social media to make the announcement.
The motion of censure is directed at the government in general and comes in response to the suspicions that fall on the current Minister of Internal Administration. The party considers that these suspicions have made the situation completely untenable.
André Ventura stated that an "absolutely untenable situation" had been reached to justify the filing of the motion. This position of Chega represents an intensification of the opposition to the executive.
