PSP and SESARAM hold the 1st "Security and Health" Meeting

The Regional Command of Madeira of the Public Security Police, in collaboration with the Health Service of the Autonomous Region of Madeira (SESARAM, EPERAM), promotes on September 3, 2026 the 1st "Security and Health" Meeting. The initiative will take place at the headquarters of the PSP Regional Command, in Madeira.

This meeting is organized within the framework of a partnership between the two entities, combining competencies of security forces with regional health services. The event aims to bring together professionals from both areas to discuss topics related to security and health.

The meeting has the joint organization of PSP and SESARAM, which intend to thus reinforce cooperation between the institutions responsible for public security and the provision of health care in the Autonomous Region of Madeira.

Lagoa Senior Center inaugurates new facilities with capacity for 150 people

The Lagoa Senior Center inaugurated new facilities on August 31st on Rua Basílio Teles, in a space of 172 square meters with capacity for 120 to 150 people simultaneously and 60 seated places. The investment of approximately 40 thousand euros was made by the Union of Parishes of Lagoa and Carvoeiro to follow the growth of the project and provide better conditions for the users, who currently number 341. The space offers activities such as handicrafts, music and yoga classes, dances, massages and health education sessions. The Carvoeiro Senior Center also received improvements, including painting and new furniture, and has 75 registered users.
