Ventura announces decision on motion of censure against the Government

The president of Chega, André Ventura, announced this Tuesday that he is inclined to proceed with a motion of censure against the Government. This decision comes after statements considered "unutterable" by Luís Neves.

Luís Neves's statements were made in the context of controversial cases involving the Ministry of Internal Administration (MAI), having been described by the Chega leader as unacceptable.

Ventura publicly assumed his intention to pursue the censure process, indicating that he considers Luís Neves's explanations insufficient to clarify the situation.

The motion of censure represents a parliamentary instrument that can put at risk the continuity of the Government, depending on the support it manages to gather in the Assembly of the Republic.
