Festival Brew! brings together 25 craft beer brands in Coimbra

Campeão das Províncias2 September 2026 at 15:53

The craft beer festival Brew! returns to Coimbra between September 11 and 13 for its sixth edition, taking place at Verd'O Parque, next to Exploratório – Centro Ciência Viva. Organized by Brew! and the Coimbra City Council, with support from Águas de Coimbra, the event this year features 25 beer brands, two of which are international from Finland and Spain.

Among the novelties of this edition, the "Beer Wall" stands out, a mobile structure with eight taps that will allow tasting beers from about 10 countries, with a focus on uncommon and limited edition products. The Mondeguipa will also be presented, a beer developed specifically for the festival using rice from the Mondego, as well as the winning beer from the Mondego Cup, a competition held in July.

The event also includes the first Corrida Munda, scheduled for September 12, with routes of five and 10 kilometers and a walk along the Mondego riverbanks, starting and finishing at Verd'O Parque. The first 300 free registrations sold out in 24 hours, and the remaining ones are available for five euros.

The organization hopes to surpass the attendance of the previous edition, which registered between 10 thousand and 12 thousand visits. The access cup to the festival costs five euros, but is not mandatory, and the beers range between 2.50 and five euros. The vice-president of Coimbra City Council, Miguel Antunes, considered the festival a national reference in the sector, with the municipality granting 65 thousand euros in support to Brew! and bash – Urban Festival.
