Nepal will rebuild an alert system on the border with China after deadly floods devastated the region. The new system will aim to allow authorities to quickly detect new risks and issue warnings to the population.
The new system will combine seismic sensors, surveillance cameras and a satellite link. This integrated technology aims to significantly improve monitoring capabilities of the border zone.
The project comes in response to floods that caused deaths and significant damage in the region. Nepalese authorities aim to prevent future catastrophes and protect local communities.
