João Brígido, who until now was director of the Tabaqueira factory in Portugal, will take the leadership of the Philip Morris International (PMI) unit in Crespellano, in the Bologna region of Italy. This Italian factory is considered the largest in the world belonging to Philip Morris International.
Philip Morris International is the owner of Tabaqueira, a Portuguese company specializing in tobacco production. João Brígido thus transitions from a management position in Portugal to a larger-scale international leadership role.
The transfer of João Brígido to the Italian factory represents recognition of his work leading Tabaqueira, where he developed experience in managing an industrial unit in the tobacco sector. The Crespellano factory, due to its size, is one of the main production centers of the American multinational.
