The Portuguese company Tekever completed the acquisition of an engineering company based in Edinburgh, in the United Kingdom. This acquisition is part of the Portuguese group's strategy of expansion and technological strengthening in the aerospace sector.

The acquired company specializes in the development of an innovative hydraulic transmission technology for aerospace propulsion. This technology represents a significant advancement in the unmanned aerial systems sector.

The main benefit of this innovation is allowing unmanned aerial systems, known as UAS, to transport heavier payloads over greater distances than the conventional platforms currently available on the market.

With this acquisition, Tekever reinforces its position in the drone and unmanned aerial systems market by incorporating proprietary technology that could significantly expand the capabilities of its aircraft.

Rio needs to prepare for mass retirements, study indicates

A study by RioAgora in partnership with República.org reveals that Rio de Janeiro will face a wave of public servant retirements in the coming years, worsening the problem of spending more on inactive personnel than on active employees. The state has 420,442 positions, with only 42.6% being active servants, while 38% are retired and 19.5% are pensioners. For every 100 active servants, the state supports approximately 135 inactive ones. Nearly 42% of the workforce is close to retirement eligibility in the next cycles, aged between 40 and 50 years old. The study warns that the increase in retirements will reduce budget space for public service exams, staff replacement, and salary adjustments, with warnings from economist Guilherme Cézar Coelho.
