The Netherlands central bank transferred 86 tonnes of gold from North America to London due to "geopolitical instability". This transfer represents a significant shift in the country's gold reserve storage strategy.
The decision comes months after the Bank of France updated 129 tonnes of gold stored in New York. This French move was also interpreted as a response to uncertainties in the international geopolitical landscape.
London remains one of the world's major gold storage centers, serving as a preferred destination for various countries' reserves due to its stability and established financial infrastructure.
