New Generation demands documents about failed tender for Municipal Police feasibility study in Vila Franca.

New Generation will submit a request to the Vila Franca de Xira Municipal Chamber to obtain documents regarding the tender that failed to conduct a feasibility study on the creation of a Municipal Police in the municipality. The initiative comes after President Fernando Paulo Ferreira publicly revealed that the procedure did not result in any adjudication, information that, according to the PSD/IL coalition, was unknown to the remaining council members.

The study was approved almost seven months ago, by proposal of New Generation itself, with the expectation of being presented within three months. At the last executive meeting, Councilor David Pato Ferreira confronted the president about the delay and recalled that other municipalities, such as Torres Vedras, advanced more quickly, having approved the creation of the Municipal Police in July and should submit the matter to the Municipal Assembly in September.

Fernando Paulo Ferreira confirmed that the first external contracting attempt failed to result in an adjudication, but assured that the procedure will be relaunched, with municipal services preparing new terms of reference. The mayor rejected that the matters had been forgotten and added that specifications and cost estimates are also being prepared for other pending studies.

New Generation also points to the lack of implementation of approved proposals in other areas, such as health and modernization of municipal services, including the defense of a Public-Private Partnership at the Hospital of Vila Franca de Xira, municipal health vouchers, and the use of Artificial Intelligence tools in urban planning. The coalition considers that the delays reveal the executive's inability to execute the City Council's own resolutions.

Presidential candidate Fernando Haddad (PT), on a campaign stop in Santos (SP), was questioned about President Lula's silence in the case involving Banco Master and the so-called "Dark Horse scandal," but did not comment directly. Without answering the question about Lula, Haddad defended breaking the secrecy of all processes without selectivity, including the case of Flavinho Bolsonaro and that of Daniel Vorcaro himself, one of those involved in the scandal. The PT candidate criticized the fact that only some are publicly exposed while others remain under secrecy, noting that Lula is the only presidential candidate who has not yet spoken out about the case. The article also mentions that Flavinho Bolsonaro again requested Moraes' impeachment, while Fachin opened a session at the STF without mentioning the crisis involving Alexandre de Moraes and Vorcaro.
