The Eastern Variant of Évora, integrated into IP2, opened to traffic on Thursday, September 3. This road infrastructure is part of a set of works completed under the Recovery and Resilience Plan, whose objective is to complete missing connections and reinforce the capacity of the national road network.

According to Infraestruturas de Portugal, the completion of these works allowed the target established in the PRR to be exceeded. The plan foresaw the construction or requalification of 111 kilometers of roads by August 31, and this objective was exceeded.
