The Quaest poll released this Wednesday points to an advantage for Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) over Jair Bolsonaro (PL) in the first round of the elections. The current president appears with 37% of voting intentions against 30% for Bolsonaro.
In the second round, the race is close, with Lula at 42% and Bolsonaro at 41%, configuring a technical tie between the candidates.
Compared to the previous poll, released on August 14, the distance between the candidates decreased significantly. The difference dropped from three points to one point.
The survey was conducted after the start of free advertising on radio and television, contracted by O GLOBO newspaper and TV Globo.
