Around 300 grapes were dumped on the street in Régua in a symbolic protest organized by winegrowers to alert to the crisis affecting the Douro region.

The producers chose to dump the grapes in front of the Institute of Douro and Port Wines (IVDP) as a way of drawing attention to the situation.

The protest's objective was to alert to the growing difficulties being felt in the region, which is considered the world's oldest demarcated and regulated region.
