The construction works of the Barragem das Olgas in Vila Flor received, on August 28, the visit of the president of the PEPAC Management Authority, José Vilhena. This visit aimed to monitor the development of this hydro-agricultural infrastructure in the region.

The project was highlighted as especially important for local agricultural activity, in a region where water availability is considered decisive for the future of the sector. The investment is pointed out as an infrastructure with potential to reinforce agricultural production conditions.

The monitoring by PEPAC appears as a signal of institutional support for the project, which is considered relevant for the modernization and enhancement of regional agriculture. The Barragem das Olgas represents one of the structural interventions planned to reinforce the hydro-agricultural capacity of the region and create better conditions for local producers, thus contributing to the sustainability and economic development of the territory.
