The first Quaest poll after the start of electoral propaganda on TV and radio, commissioned by newspaper O GLOBO and Globo, shows President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT) leading with 37% of voting intentions in the first-round simulation. Flavio Bolsonaro (PL) appears next with 30%.
The survey indicates that writer Augusto Cury (Avante) has grown and numerically surpassed the other candidates, reaching 10% of voting intentions, which represents eight percentage points more compared to the previous poll, released on August 14.
The percentages refer to the scenario tested by Quaest that includes Pablo Marcal. The PRTB candidate, sentenced to ineligibility for eight years due to improper use of communication media during the 2024 electoral campaign, has his candidacy questioned in the Electoral Court.
