Natal airport recorded the second highest passenger growth in the country at the beginning of 2026. According to a survey by Zurich Airport Brasil, the terminal's concessionaire, Natal International Airport saw an 18% increase in passenger flow in the first four months of 2026, with 964 thousand people between boardings and deplanings, the highest growth in the Northeast and the second highest in the country in the period.
The result was driven mainly by the international segment. The terminal handled nearly 80 thousand international passengers between January and April, a 107% increase compared to the previous year, and recorded 575 international operations, an 87% increase.
The performance of the capital of Rio Grande do Norte follows a regional trend. In the same first four months of 2026, the combined airports of the Northeast exceeded 7.43 million passengers, an 11.2% increase and historical record for the period, according to Panrottas. The expansion is supported by routes that continue to grow.
