The Sports, Cultural and Recreational Group of Perre (GDCP) will recreate the traditional corn husking on September 20th. This initiative aims to preserve and promote one of the most traditional agricultural practices of Minhota culture, which consists of the process of peeling the corn after harvest.
This year, the corn husking presents a novelty compared to previous editions. For the first time, the activity will take place directly in the field, allowing the public to closely follow and participate in the different stages of the traditional corn cycle.
The meeting point for participants is scheduled next to the Chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows. This change to the outdoor setting aims to provide a more authentic and immersive experience, bringing participants closer to the agricultural traditions of the region.
