After a summer of heat waves in France, temperatures are gradually returning to normal, making the end of the season ideal for traveling. The article suggests five popular destinations that become quieter in September, when crowds begin to decrease and temperatures remain still mild.
Among the destinations mentioned are the Cabanes Tchanqué (cabins on stilts) on Île aux Oiseaux, in the heart of Arcachon Bay, Bonifacio, Biarritz, Collioure and Luberon. Bonifacio stands out as a place where it is possible to recover authenticity, according to the travel portal Ulysse.
According to data from the Corsica Tourism Agency (ATC), Bonifacio received 370 thousand visitors in August, representing the peak of the summer tourist season. From September onwards, the number of tourists drops dramatically, providing a quieter experience for visitors.
The temperatures in Bonifacio during this season vary between 19°C in the morning and 27°C in the afternoon, while the sea water temperature remains very pleasant, around 22-23°C, creating ideal conditions for those visiting the destination after summer.
