Water prices are above the national average in most municipalities of the Porto Metropolitan Area. At least nine municipalities in this region pay more for the water supply service than the national average.
Among the highlighted municipalities, Valongo and São João da Madeira are those where the water bill is highest. These two municipalities significantly exceed the values practiced in the rest of the country.
The situation reveals a disparity in water prices between the Greater Porto municipalities and the rest of the national territory, with consumers in these areas bearing costs above the average.
