6 out of 7 tenders for works worth 2.6 million in Oliveira de Azeméis received no bids

The Municipality of Oliveira de Azeméis launched two public tenders with a total investment of 2.6 million euros for carrying out works in the municipality. Of the seven public procurement procedures launched, six remained unsubscribed, meaning they received no proposals from companies interested in executing the works. Only one of the seven tenders managed to attract applications. This situation represents a failure rate of approximately 86% in the procurement procedures launched by the local authority. The high value of the tenders and the lack of interest from construction companies raises questions about the viability of the projects or about the overly demanding conditions set in the tender specifications.
