The Chega Party sent a request to the Finance ministry to question the security conditions in the Customs building in Ponta Delgada, demanding explanations about the state of conservation of the property. The initiative was taken by deputy Ana Martins, elected for the Azores constituency, who defends the existence of security problems in the building.
The request was addressed to the Minister of State and Finance, requesting that the Executive comment on the situation. The Chega deputy did not limit herself to questioning the current conditions, having also advocated for the definition of a concrete schedule for the rehabilitation of the property.
The Customs of Ponta Delgada operates in a building that, according to deputy Ana Martins, presents security deficiencies. The party considers that the property lacks urgent interventions and that the Government should present a defined plan for its rehabilitation. The request was presented as a form of political pressure for the executive to move forward with a solution for the building.
