Seia City Council pays tuition fees for CTeSP at ESTH

Jornal O Interior2 September 2026 at 12:30

The Seia City Council will assume the payment of tuition fees for the Higher Professional Technical Courses (CTeSP) offered at the School of Tourism and Hospitality (ESTH) of the Polytechnic Institute of Guarda. This measure aims to facilitate access of young people in the region to higher education.

ESTH will make available nine CTeSP in the current academic year, covering various areas related to tourism, hospitality, and catering. These courses are professional training programs at the higher education level with a duration of two years.

The Seia municipality justifies this decision as a way to combat depopulation and attract young population to the Serra da Estrela territory. The measure aims to reduce the financial burden on students and their families.

This partnership between the municipality and the Polytechnic Institute of Guarda is part of a broader strategy to enhance higher education in the region and promote local development through professional qualification.
