Puerto de la Cruz celebrated with great success the 53rd edition of its Bavarian Week, an event that reinforced the historic ties between the Canary Island city and Germany. Throughout the week, the locality was transformed into a vibrant center of German music, gastronomy and culture, attracting both residents and tourists.

The highlight of the festivities was the Oktoberfest, which occupied the last three days of the event. The city's streets filled with joy, with traditional bands, folk dances and the iconic Bavarian beer served in mugs. In addition to traditional cuisine with sausages, sauerkraut and pretzels, there were art exhibitions and a market of typical products from Bavaria.

This year's Bavarian Week featured a significant increase in the number of visitors compared to previous years. The city hall stated that the event not only promoted German culture, but also strengthened the cultural identity of Puerto de la Cruz, being considered an opportunity to experience the connection with Germany.

The 53rd edition consolidated itself as one of the main events in the city's cultural calendar, which hopes to continue attracting visitors from all parts and keeping the bond with Germanic culture alive in future editions.
