The PSPV denounces the pending issues in the western district under Carrasco: Maset Blau and Botánica Albert park

El Periódico Mediterráneo - General2 September 2026 at 11:43

The PSPV denounced the pending issues in the western district of Castelló at the beginning of the new school year. The party warned about the lack of execution of two projects that were approved in the participatory budgets of 2024-2025 and that continue to not materialize in the affected neighborhoods.

The two projects in question are a children's park located next to Maset Blau and the improvement of lighting in the Botánica Carmen Albert park. Both were winners of the participatory budgets, but the City Council has not yet executed them.

The total planned investment for these two interventions is 180,000 euros. This money was destined for the neighborhoods of carretera Alcora and Raval Universitari, but the promised works have not yet started.

Lisbon residents feel the "abuse of authority by EMEL with the connivance of the Lisbon City Council"

A law firm in Lisbon will proceed in September with an action in the administrative courts against EMEL, accusing the municipal company of inspecting outside the zones and hours under its management, and of promoting the coercive collection of fines it considers time-barred. Lawyer Carlos Barroso explains that, if the action is successful, it could open the way to requests for the return of fines already paid by Lisbon residents, denouncing what he classifies as "abuse of authority by EMEL with the connivance of the Lisbon City Council."
