The president of the Supreme Federal Court, Edson Fachin, is expected to decide next week whether to bring to the Court's Full Bench the case of messages between Justice Alexandre de Moraes and banker Daniel Vorcaro. The rapporteur of the Master case, André Mendonça, is expected to release the document in the coming days to the STF Presidency, with the final decision on the trial resting with Fachin.
When lifting the secrecy of the material, André Mendonça highlighted that the inevitable path for the case is the Full Bench, regardless of the position of the Attorney General's Office. The idea is to decide by in-person, public vote whether the report will be archived or transformed into an investigation into Justice Alexandre de Moraes.
In a filing submitted Tuesday night, the Attorney General, Paulo Gonet, defended the nullity of the investigation. According to Gonet, André Mendonça could not have requested the investigation from the Federal Police, because that decision should have been made by the Full Bench. The prosecutor was also mentioned in the final passage of the article, but the information was cut off.
