The Public Security Police has already identified 182 elderly people in situations of social risk since the end of July, as part of a national initiative. This is the 14th edition of this programme for the identification and monitoring of vulnerable elderly people.
The main alarm factors identified by the officers are the lack of autonomy and social isolation of the elderly. These problems place the elderly in situations of vulnerability, making closer monitoring by the authorities necessary.
The operation remains in the field until September 25, continuing efforts to detect and identify elderly people who may need support. The programme aims to prevent situations of neglect and ensure that elderly people at risk receive due attention from the relevant authorities.
