The parish of Calvos celebrated its Parish Day with a full program of activities that included the inauguration of the new synthetic turf at the Sports Field of the Recreational and Sports Association of Calvos. This work aims to strengthen the conditions for sports practice in the parish, being one of the main highlights of the celebrations.
The festivities started at 09:00 with the raising of flags next to the Parish Council headquarters. During the afternoon, a solemn eucharist was celebrated at the Parish Church of Calvos, followed by a visit to the cemetery to pay tribute to the people of the parish buried there. At 16:30, the ceremony for naming the Noble Hall of the Parish Council headquarters and the Sports Field took place, as well as a tribute to the founders of ARD de Calvos.
The official ceremony of Parish Day began at 20:00, a moment that included the presentation of distinctions, acknowledgments, blessing, and the inauguration of the new synthetic surface. The celebrations ended at 22:00 with musical entertainment by DJ Grilo.
