An explosion in a building passage led to the complete closure of the Augsburg railway station in Germany on Wednesday morning. The incident caused the evacuation of the surrounding area and the interruption of all railway services at the station.

German authorities found a second suspicious object near the site of the explosion. This discovery led security operatives to expand the security perimeter established around the station.

Security forces also blocked access to the station and are carrying out searches and sweeps of the area. Police have not yet revealed further details about the nature of the objects found or the causes of the explosion.

AGRICULTURAL MACHINERY RETURNS TO BE AT THE CENTER OF RURAL FIRE ALERTS IN MIRANDELA

A rural fire broke out yesterday near Abreiro, in Mirandela, due to the use of agricultural machinery, and the Voluntary Firefighters of Mirandela managed to extinguish the flames before they spread. The case serves as a warning for the risks associated with agricultural work during periods of high fire danger, since a simple spark from metallic equipment in contact with stones or dry vegetation can trigger a fire. Civil protection authorities recommend that farmers check the fire risk beforehand, avoid using machinery likely to produce sparks in areas with dry grass, and keep first response means easily accessible.
