One year after the derailment of the Glória elevator, in Lisbon, little is known about the causes of the accident. The investigation into the incident is still ongoing, with the community still waiting for answers about what caused the tragedy.
The accident resulted in 16 fatalities and 24 injured, totaling 36 affected people. The victims were of 15 different nationalities, which makes this case particularly complex in terms of monitoring and support for the families.
Currently, there are four registered processes related to the accident. However, compensation for the victims continues to be pending, leaving many families without the due reparation.
Support for the families of the fatalities and the injured continues to be provided, at a time when the first anniversary of the tragedy that shocked Portugal and the international community is being marked.
