The floods that struck a week ago the border region between Nepal and China have already caused 1,130 dead and left 4,462 people missing, according to the latest tolls released by the authorities of both countries. The most serious situation is in Nepal, where 1,114 deaths and 3,916 missing have been confirmed. On the Chinese side, in the Tibet region, another 16 dead and 546 missing have been recorded. Search and rescue operations continue in the affected areas, as authorities attempt to locate survivors and assess the total extent of the damage caused by the floods.
