A 22-year-old man was arrested in the Amadora area after running over a PSP officer with a scooter while fleeing from a robbery. In addition to the police officer, the individual also injured a merchant he had just robbed during his escape.

The case resulted in effective prison time for the young man, who was convicted by the court. The arrest occurred when the man was attempting to escape authorities after committing the robbery at a commercial establishment.

The police officer was run over specifically during the young man's flight, who used a scooter to try to flee from the crime scene. The injured merchant was the victim of the robbery that the young man was committing before being intercepted by the PSP.
