The Federal Police managed to recover single-view messages that had been exchanged between businessman Daniel Vorcaro and Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Supreme Federal Court. The feat was made possible through the use of digital traces left on devices and specialized data recovery programs.
The single-view function is a tool available in messaging applications that allows the sender to configure the message to be displayed only once, without the possibility of later viewing. Normally, this feature is designed to guarantee greater privacy in conversations.
The investigators managed to circumvent this technological barrier by identifying digital traces preserved on the devices used by both parties. The recovery of these messages may have relevance in ongoing investigations.
The case involves Daniel Vorcaro, owner of the sports betting company VaideBet, which has documented relationships with Minister Moraes, including financial transactions made by his wife, councilwoman Janones. The recovered messages are now part of the evidentiary collection of the investigation.
