The milk producers of Terceira island expressed their displeasure at a new decrease in the price of milk paid to the producer. The president of the Agricultural Association of Terceira Island (AAIT), José António Azevedo, lamented this decision by the industry, considering that producers were already facing great difficulties.

According to José António Azevedo, milk producers already practiced the price "lowest in Europe" before this new reduction. With the announced decrease, the situation became even more complicated for the island's farmers.

The AAIT representative warned that producers no longer had any margin to be able to produce milk, highlighting the difficult financial situation they face. This new reduction further aggravates the crisis affecting the dairy sector on Terceira island.
