The Chambel family is responsible for one of the most traditional stalls at the São Mateus Fair, specialized in the sale of eels. This family tradition dates back to 1942, which means it has been maintained for four consecutive generations.

Paulo Chambel is the current person in charge of the family's restaurant. In statements to the media, he said that he only consumes eels during this time of year, emphasizing that the flavor is different.
