PSP flags 182 elderly people at social risk in national operation

The Public Security Police (PSP) flagged 182 elderly people at social risk since July 27, as part of the national operation called "Solidarity Has No Age". This prevention operation is scheduled to continue until September 25.

According to the interim report released by the PSP, 386 individual crime prevention contacts were made during the period covered by the report. These contacts made it possible to identify and flag elderly people who are in situations of vulnerability.

The operation involved outreach actions aimed at the elderly population, with the objective of preventing social and criminal risk situations. The interim report serves as a monitoring point for the progress of the operation across its various phases.

The PSP continues to carry out efforts on the ground to ensure the safety and well-being of elderly people, also raising awareness among the community about the importance of being attentive to possible situations of neglect or abuse.
