The Procuradoria-Geral da República rejected the second plea bargain request presented by Daniel Vorcaro's defense within the scope of investigations involving Banco Master. The information was confirmed by interlocutors involved in the plea bargain process to CBN. The PGR should officially communicate the decision to the defense and the Supremo Tribunal Federal.
The Polícia Federal had previously rejected this same collaboration proposal. According to investigators, the material obtained throughout the investigations would already be sufficient to proceed with the investigations. Furthermore, the proposal presented by the defense would not have added new names or elements considered relevant to the advancement of the case.
The PGR's decision occurred on the same day that Minister André Mendonça, of the STF, removed the secrecy from a report prepared by the Polícia Federal. The document details relationships maintained by Vorcaro with Minister Alexandre de Moraes and with the Procurador-Geral da República, Paulo Gonet.
