Zelensky warns airlines that flying over Russia will be dangerous due to drones

dnoticias.pt2 September 2026 at 00:04

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky today warned airlines about the dangers of flying over Russian airspace, stating that "there will be drones" in Russian skies "as long as the war continues." The warning was given during the President's daily address to the nation.

Zelensky addressed directly all airlines that use Russian airspace, insurers and all those who still operate in major Russian airports, warning that Russian airspace is becoming "extremely dangerous."

The warning comes in the context of an ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia, and represents a formal warning to companies in the aviation sector about the risks associated with operations in Russian airspace during the war period.
