The Senate approved on Tuesday (1st) the appointment of Rodrigo Pacheco, former President of the House, for a seat on the Court of Accounts of the Union (TCU). The vote resulted in 63 votes in favor and four against, demonstrating an overwhelming majority for approval. The seat was left by Minister Bruno Dantas, who resigned from the position on Monday.

The President of the Senate was pressuring for Pacheco's appointment to the STF, which ultimately did not happen.
