Famalicão has loaned midfielder Gonzalo Pastor to Unionistas de Salamanca, a club that plays in the Spanish football third division. The agreement between the two clubs allows the Gaindo player to have more playing time during the season.
Gonzalo Pastor, who arrived at Famalicão at the beginning of this season, failed to establish himself in the starting eleven of the Portuguese team. With few opportunities to play, both the player and the club agreed that this loan would be the best solution for both parties.
Unionistas de Salamanca is a historic club from the Castilla y León region, known for reaching the final stages of the Copa del Rey in previous seasons. The team plays its home games at the Reina Sofía Stadium in Salamanca.
With this operation, Famalicão reduces the salary burden of its squad while allowing the young Spanish midfielder to develop his football in a championship he knows well, after previously representing clubs such as Real Madrid Castilla and Villarreal B.
