Facundo Cáseres will be Santos Laguna's new signing under Renato Paiva

Facundo Cáseres is set to join Santos Laguna, the Mexican team coached by Renato Paiva. The 24-year-old Argentine midfielder was linked to Gil Vicente, a Portuguese club from the Primeira Liga.

Gil Vicente have quite advanced negotiations with Santos Laguna for the player's transfer. The clubs are expected to finalize the deal soon, with the Portuguese side set to earn around three million euros from the sale.

Cáseres joined Gil Vicente in 2023 and became an important piece in the team's midfield. During his time at the Portuguese club, the Argentine made 48 appearances and scored three goals.
