Former vocalist of Calcinha Preta, singer Rogério Valença died at 55 on Monday (31st) in Aracaju, Sergipe. He was being treated for kidney failure and was awaiting a kidney transplant. On the day of his death, Rogério suffered a heart attack and could not be saved, according to what the family reported to g1.
The wake was held on Tuesday (1st) in Aracaju. The body was taken for burial in Garanhuns, in Pernambuco, the artist's hometown. The singer is survived by his husband, with whom he lived for 20 years.
In his career, Rogério performed with bands such as Calcinha Preta and Caviar com Rapadura. In recent years, he continued working with music as vocalist of the band Raio da Silibrina. Currently, he lived in Sergipe.
