Socialist Women of the Algarve put inland challenges at the center of the political agenda

The Socialist Women of the Algarve promoted a political initiative that placed the challenges of the region's interior at the center of the discussion. The action included a PS route that passed through Alcoutim, one of the inland municipalities of the Algarve often characterized by low population density and development challenges.

The initiative featured the participation of José Luís Carneiro and Carla Tavares, relevant figures of the Socialist Party. The route ended with a trip along the Guadiana River to Vila Real de Santo António, crossing an area that marks the border between Portugal and Spain.

The event was reported by Barlavento, which identified this action as a way of drawing attention to the specific needs of the rural and inland areas of the Algarve, often less served in traditional political priorities.
