The Ecuadorian winger Gonzalo Plata is returning to Flamengo after failing the medical exams of Dinamo Zagreb. The Brazilian club sent the player to Croatia to undergo the necessary physical and clinical assessment exams for the completion of the transfer, but the results were not satisfactory.
The 23-year-old player was attempting to transfer to Dinamo Zagreb in a deal that involved a loan. However, after failing the medical exams, the deal was cancelled and Plata had to return to Rio de Janeiro.
Flamengo, who has held the player's registration since January, will now have to reintegrate him into their squad. The Brazilian club faces the need to resolve the player's contractual situation, as he is not part of the first team's sporting plans.
This situation places Flamengo in a delicate position, as the player cannot be sold to Dinamo and will have to find an alternative solution for Plata, either through another interested club or his temporary reintegration into the Rubro-Negro squad.
