Social media videos show the moment New York police shot at a woman who had stabbed two people in Times Square, in Manhattan, on Monday afternoon. The woman was identified as Pamela Cisneros, 49 years old, and died after being hit by the shots. One of the people attacked by her also did not survive the injuries.

The images, captured from more than one angle, show at least ten police officers surrounding the woman, who was holding two large knives. The officers repeatedly ordered her to drop the weapons. At one point, an officer used a stun gun, but Cisneros remained standing.

Following this, the woman rapidly advanced toward the officers, with the knives in her hands. Faced with the imminent threat, two agents drew their firearms and fired at Cisneros. The complete episode was recorded by witnesses and widely shared on social media.

The conviction of Duane "Keffe D" Davis for Tupac Shakur's murder may give new impetus to the investigation into the death of Christopher Wallace, the Notorious B.I.G., who was shot dead in Los Angeles in March 1997, about six months after Tupac. According to former prosecutor Neama Rahmani, the outcome of the Tupac case in Las Vegas may lead investigators to reexamine a case approaching three decades without a solution. The Los Angeles police states that Wallace's murder remains open and unsolved, remaining in the LAPD's Robbery-Homicide Division.
