Fire contained in Penacova

A forest fire broke out on Tuesday, September 1, in Serra da Atalhada, in Penacova, in the Civil Parish of Friúmes and Paradela. The alert was issued at 5:06 PM.

The fire was declared contained by 7:28 PM, less than three hours after the first alert.

More than 200 personnel, supported by 49 vehicles, took part in fighting the flames.
