Rogério Barradas is 89 years old and has seven children, but still works every day at the shoe repair shop he founded in 1958, at the same establishment where he has served customers for more than six decades. The shoemaker remains active behind the counter, doing the same work that made him known throughout a lifetime dedicated to the craft.
The establishment was founded in 1958 by Rogério Barradas in partnership with Arminda da Costa, his wife. Over more than 60 years of activity, the shoe repair shop has become a landmark in the community, resisting changes in commerce and the passage of time.
Rogério Barradas' story is marked by dedication and persistence. Even with nearly nine decades of life and a large family to care for, the shoemaker never abandoned his work, continuing to serve customers with the same dedication as always.
