cbn1 September 2026 at 19:48

The Federal Police recovered messages revealing an alleged relationship between the former owner of Banco Master, Daniel Vorcaro, and the president of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), Alexandre de Moraes. The secrecy of the investigation was lifted on Tuesday by Minister André Mendonça.

In the messages, the former attorney for Banco Master, Ciro Soares, sent Daniel Vorcaro a photo showing him next to the attorney general of Brazil, Paulo Gonet. In the image, the two appear relaxed, wearing sunglasses and white t-shirts, with palm trees in the background, and Ciro is also wearing a cap.

The photo was sent in March 2025, when Ciro Soares wrote to Vorcaro: "Call him, he wants to talk to you." Shortly after, four voice calls appear between them, the last one lasting three minutes and 49 seconds.

In another excerpt of the messages recovered by the investigation, Daniel Vorcaro asks Ciro Soares to thank for the kindness received, referring to Paulo Gonet. The article title makes reference to a message in which Vorcaro expresses missing Gonet.
