A wildfire broke out in the Olival area, in the Porto district, near the municipalities of Vila Nova de Gaia and Porto. The fire originated in scrubland vegetation.
The authorities confirmed arrival at the Operations Theater (TO), indicating that the fire is already being fought on site.
To combat the flames, 15 operatives were deployed, supported by 3 land vehicles. No aerial means were mobilized for this incident.
The incident occurred in the geographic area covering the municipalities of Porto, Vila Nova de Gaia and Olival, an area where scrubland fires are frequent, especially during periods of greater heat and dryness.
